Tail Wags and Sparkles
Tails Wags and Sparkles is an exciting new feature at Jemima & Me Photography.
In 2003 I visited the Dog's Trust in West Calder and came home with an adorable wee bundle in my arms. Little did I know how special this eight week old puppy was to become. He stole my heart from the start and has paid in friendship, love and loyalty one million times over ! Somehow the time slipped by and that cute puppy became a wise old man. My Munro. I wouldn't have swapped him for the world.
Munro sadly passed away in October 2017 aged fourteen. He had the happiest of wee lives and the years were precious. I am so glad that my wall is covered in so many wonderful memories. It was being the proud human of an older boy that was my inspiration to begin Tail Wags and Sparkles. In celebration of these wee characters who become such a big part of our lives. I can't wait to meet them all.
Sessions
A standard Tail Wags session costs £30 and includes one 10" x 8" print. Further print packages and wall art options are also available. If you live outwith the Perthshire area and would like me to come to you, basic travel costs may apply. Further products are being added in the near future. You can choose to have a session with your dog whatever his/her age but here are just a few ideas.
Puppy Days
You have brought home your new puppy and life will be hectic for the next few weeks. Puppies are so cute and funny but grow up so quickly ! This is the perfect time to have some special images taken of your puppy to look back on. Puppy sessions are usually full of mischief but that's okay. This session works best as a mixture of indoor studio work and outdoor play. Don't worry if you think that your puppy will be excited and might not be on his best behaviour. That is just part of the fun of capturing this stage in your dog's development. Puppy Days sessions are for pups of up to sixteen weeks of age.
Dog Days
This session is for dogs over sixteen weeks of age. Dog Days sessions can take place indoors or outdoors. You know your dog better than anyone and will know where he will be most comfortable. He may be completely happy indoors for a studio session where there are less distractions or maybe he will be happier outdoors. Outdoor sessions can take place at a favourite location or even in your own garden if you feel that your dog will be happier there. Your dog's safety is of the utmost importance during the session so if he requires to be kept on a lead that is no problem. I have long black leads which can later be edited out of your image. Indoor sessions can also be done in your own home. All I need is a bit of clear floor space to set up a simple background and light.
Senior Days
As the proud human of an older boy myself I know only too well how precious this stage of your dog's life is. With a Senior Days session we can capture some lovely images which you will treasure forever. This is a gentle session which is best carried out in your own home as this will be less stressful for your older dog. As a guide this session is for older dogs 12 years plus or dogs who may not be in the best of health. This session can be booked at very short notice and due to the nature of the session there is also a reduction in the session fee.
