Last week Jackson came to visit for his first photo session. He brought his big sister Jessica with him. Jessica was also here as a newborn three years ago and then again just over a year later. It is lovely to see the little ones as they grow :) Jackson and Jessica were absolute stars throughout their session. Here is just a wee sneak look at the images.

This cheeky wee girl is Jess. As it was a lovely afternoon Jess and her Mum had most of their session in the garden with just a few indoor photos to end the day. It was so much fun and Jess took to the camera in true Diva style. Here is just a sneak peek from the day.

Jack's First Session

Baby Jack first came to the studio with his big sister Ava a couple of weeks ago. It was Ava's first birthday and Jack had behaved beautifully for some shots with his sister. On Saturday Jack came back for his very own session and he was simply adorable. He brought along his very favourite cuddly elephant which he was happy to snuggle down with. Ava first came to see me as a newborn and on Sunday she came back for her First Birthday Session. How time flies ! This time Ava not only brought her Mummy and Daddy along but also her brand new baby brother Jack. Ava's Granny had made a special pink meringue for the cake smash and we all had a ball ! The session was a pure joy. Thank you so much to Ava's Mummy and Daddy for bringing Ava and Jack to see me again.

I love everything about Newborn Photography and this session was no exception. Meet baby Joshua. Joshua was exactly four weeks old on the day of his session and he was an absolute superstar ! He snuggled down and made the sleepy shots so easy, just occasionally opening his eyes for one or two nice awake shots. Here is just a sneak peek from his gallery.

How lucky we were to have such a gorgeous evening for Maya's photo session down by the River Tay. Maya is a very talented artist and also enjoys photography so that made for a very relaxed and enjoyable session. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. Thanks so much Maya for a fabulous photo shoot !

Something a little bit different from me ! This summer I have been working with singer Heather Innes on a music project. Heather and I have been friends for many years so this was something I was keen to do. I was asked to produce a slide show of images to accompany Heather singing the beautiful song "The River" by Len Wade. It was a really lovely thing to do and I enjoyed taking some time out from the usual busy schedule to capture the images and put together the slide show. Here are just some of the results.

Last week I had the honour of meeting Sam for his photo session. Sam was a rescue dog who has happily landed on his paws ! Whatever his background he now lives in the best of comforts with his Mum, Barbara. He was wary of the camera at first but after a few games of catch with his favourite toy he soon came round and was a dream to work with. As you can see from his images, he is certainly a gorgeous boy and oh, those eyes ! The trust between dogs and their humans is truly amazing. I'm sure Sam knows just how special he is !

I have been very lucky in life in so far as I have enjoyed almost every job that I have done. I say almost as we have all had that grass is greener feeling right ? I made the leap from Children's Nanny to Photography some years ago and I'm so glad I did. When I know that my work has brought happiness to someone that is a very good feeling indeed. Earlier in the year I was at the Dunkeld Art's Fair selling prints and cards. This image "Royal Mile Walk" was very popular. A lady visiting from America wanted to buy several prints but unfortunately I had sold out. Details were exchanged and I was happy to be able to deliver the extra prints to the lady before she left to return home. Some days later she sent me this lovely message :
"Thank you for making the extra effort to deliver the Edinburgh prints to my holiday home. They have now made their way to the US with treasured memories of our meeting in Dunkeld. Many thanks aye,
